Rocking Tech at Milton Keynes Tech Week 2026

Milton Keynes Tech Week ran from 12 to 16 October 2026, with more than 30 events across the city for founders, investors, corporates, researchers and government. Delivered by Protospace CIC, a not-for-profit community interest company, the week included the official conference at Unity Place on 15 October. Rocking Tech attended four events across the week.

On Monday, the week opened with a roundtable hosted by the Association for Competitive Technology (ACT), bringing Milton Keynes startups together with Emily Darlington MP and Chris Curtis MP at the NatWest Accelerator Hub.

The conversation covered what makes Milton Keynes a great place to run a tech business, and what startups need at local and national level to succeed. Rocking Tech took part in the discussion.

On Tuesday, BletchleyAI held its Tech Week special at the Red Bull Technology Campus, with close to 200 attendees. Elevate MK guest-hosted and opened with One Minute Wonders. Node4 gave a talk, followed by a Sovereign AI panel with speakers including Hitachi and Miss AI.

The discussion looked at AI sovereignty at national, local and organisational level. Mazik Global and Volkswagen Financial Services sponsored the event.

On Wednesday, NatWest Accelerator hosted the Proximity Breakfast, a morning of roundtable discussions for diverse ethnicity tech founders.

On Friday, the week closed with a hands-on workshop from DIIISCO, hosted at Aiimi on Avebury Boulevard. DIIISCO is building a decentralised AI compute network, and describes its platform as open source.

The session worked through the full local AI stack, from model choice and runtime to chat interfaces and tooling, with privacy, cost control and customisation as the drivers.

Thanks to everyone we met along the way. Rocking Tech looks forward to Milton Keynes Tech Week 2027, returning on 18 to 22 October.
